Terms of Use

The Service is operated by AB Engineering Solutions, a GST-registered sole proprietorship in India (proprietor: Divya Singh). Batch Tutor is our product name.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an institute or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and to accept these Terms on its behalf.

You sign in using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the App for managing your own batches and institute. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

You are responsible for the information you enter and how you use the Service. You agree that:

• You will use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws.
• You have the right and any necessary consent to collect and store information about students, guardians and staff that you enter.
• You will keep your own backups; you are responsible for your data and its accuracy.
• You will not use the Service to store unlawful content or to infringe anyone's rights.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Batch Tutor is an offline-first app, and your data is stored primarily on your device. Backup and restore to your own Google Drive are provided as a convenience. We do not guarantee that backups will always be available, complete or restorable, and we are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device loss or damage, uninstalling the App, changes to your Google account, or failure to maintain backups. Please back up regularly and keep your own copies of important records.

Batch Tutor is currently free to use during early access. We may introduce paid plans or charges in the future. If we do, we will update these Terms and make the pricing clear before any charge applies. Continued use after such changes means you accept them.

The Service relies on third-party services, including Google (sign-in and Drive) and our analytics providers (such as PostHog, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services. How these providers are used, and your choices, are described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service, including the App, this website, and our names, logos and content, is owned by AB Engineering Solutions and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. The data you enter remains yours.

You agree not to:

• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or accounts.
• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
• Misuse the Service in any way not reasonably intended by these Terms.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AB Engineering Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or, where the Service was free, a nominal amount.

You agree to indemnify and hold AB Engineering Solutions harmless from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the Service, the data you enter, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where reasonably necessary. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our place of business in India will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
